Established in 1991, The Arts Society Pewsey Vale has a membership of 200+ and is part of The Arts Society (previously known as National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Societies - NADFAS), a charitable organisation with 360 branches throughout the UK and also in Europe, Australia and New Zealand.  Its stated aims are the advancement of education and the appreciation of the fine arts as well as support for the conservation of our artistic heritage. To find out more about The Arts Society, please click here to go to the website.

We are a vibrant, friendly and welcoming society which meets for our monthly lectures in the Bouverie Hall, Pewsey.

Membership in The Arts Society Pewsey Vale is renewable on an annual basis and includes 10 monthly lectures on a wide range of topics delivered by experts in their field.  The programme for the current year can be found under the Lectures tab above.  Additional activities include Study Days which give interested members the chance to explore a topic in greater depth, Visits organised as day trips and occasionally a Tour for several days further afield in the UK.  A more detailed description of all these activities can be found under the relevant heading at the top of this page.

Through their voluntary efforts Members also contribute to the work of a variety of local conservation, education and heritage projects.

*  A vibrant Young Arts program is designed to foster further interest in the arts. Working with schools in Pewsey Vale, the project have proved hugely motivational for all involved.

*  Heritage Volunteers have carried out conservation work in a project centred on The Merchant's House in Marlborough.

* Church Recorders, alongside a team from Devizes DFAS, conduct in-depth research into the history and interior details of selected churches in the Pewsey Vale. This work creates a nationally important record of the wonderful churches of Pewsey Vale.

Please explore the website for further details on all the activities of our Society and use the link to the Membership secretary on the Members tab if you would like to join us, and you can also read our monthly members newsletter.
